A PACKED schedule of pre-match entertainment has been drawn up for Saints' Good Friday clash with Wigan.

Kick-off for the sold out derby fixture is 3pm but there is a host of events taking place in the build-up to one of the regular season's most eagerly anticipated contests.

Welcome the players

The events include a special welcome to the Totally Wicked Stadium for the Saints squad, which supporters are being urged to gather for.

St Helens Star:

According to the club, the players will be parking off site and then walking across the area opposite the stadium and Tesco car park at about 1.10pm to take in the pre-match atmosphere.

This is in advance of turnstiles opening at 1.15pm, with the club requesting "as many fans as possible arrive on site to welcome the team into the stadium and build the atmosphere pre-match".

Red V Bar

Meanwhile, the club's Red V Bar will be open from 11am, and will show the Hull derby live (kick off 12.30pm).

There will also be activity in the club's fan area located opposite the superstore from noon. Non-playing players will be paying a visit to the Saints Community Foundation stands to meet fans in the build-up to the game.

Ice cream van 'star'

The club has also confirmed that local "Tik-Tok star," JJ’s Ices, who has featured numerous times in the Star, will have his ice cream van pulled up from 12.30pm near the Keiron Cunningham statue.

Pre-match music

Inside the Totally Wicked Stadium there is a busy schedule of live entertainment starting from 2pm.

Ex-Stillia frontman Jack Bennett will be performing close to kick-off, while local DJ Eric McKenna will put on a set his set from 2pm onwards as the players warm-up in advance of kick-off.

Big entrance

The players will enter the field shortly before 3pm to "a pyro and flame display" - but there will  special guests too, with the Royal Marines abseiling into the stadium from the South Stand to deliver the matchball.

The club has strongly advise fans who have ordered tickets for collection, to collect them well in advance of the game from the ticket collection point located next to the ticket office
