Remedy must be tough for yobs

I AM writing in connection with the letter headed 'Hard lads will get come-uppance' (Dear Star, August).

It seems every week in your paper I read about yobs, vandals and violence. This gentleman has the right attitude not wanting these cowards to get away with it. It's a pity there aren't more like him.

Yet another incident the other week, about the yobs vandalising bowling greens. I myself have been a victim of in the past few weeks. What makes it worse is they had young children with them, what example are these yobs setting?

Through the reports in the local papers, the police should know where these lowlifes congregate (Sutton Manor Park for one). They should be rounded up and locked up for a very long time.

Personally I think the noise they listen to - thud, thud, thud, thud, thud etc. - is addling what little brain they were born with and of course, the parents must take some of the blame.
