I WAS shocked to be in the town centre one day last week when I witnessed some disgraceful behaviour outside St Helens College, as young people hurled vile abuse and threats at each other.
The abuse happened on Water Street beside St Helens College’s main square at lunch time.
I was walking through town and came across what appeared to be the scene of the argument.
Security guards were already there trying to came things down but then it got worse with youngsters hurling insults back and forth.
They were bouncing around, getting in each other’s faces, swearing and threatening. Disgraceful behaviour.
The security guards were doing their best to defuse the situation and I didn’t see any violence but it was very intimidating.
Disgraceful to see young people behaving like that.
